It was supposed to be smaller....

...than the last. But I got a bit carried away. Adding more wire...playing with gemstones and pearls. Okay, so it is a bit smaller. But not what I intended. :)

I've named this pendant "Risen". The sunshine colored genuine Citrine gemstones reminded me of the dawn of a new day. The beautiful golden and coffee brown colored freshwater pearls remind me of the upcoming fall season. Fall is in the air here in TN.

Because my bail turned out way too small (except for a delicate chain), I made a new bail. The tornado bead/bail is accented with those glowing freshwater pearls. Antiqued, hand woven silver wire pulls it all together into a unique, one of a kind cross pendant. I'm sure whoever the new owner is will enjoy it - it will become a family heirloom.

RISEN is available in my pendants section...unless it's already sold, of course. :)

What's next on the workbench? I scored some awesomely-huge cherry quartz gems this weekend...so I believe something soon will emerge featuring one of those beauties. :)

Yesterday was my daughter Allyson's birthday celebration.  She's the big *16* now!  She wanted to go to the local safari park and take photos. So off we went.  We had a grand time, and saw lots of cool animals and wildlife.  I've posted one of the funniest photos here...but you can see them all in my photography blog.  Hope you'll stop by and enjoy the photo journal of this wonderful trip. :)

I might get more jewelry made. :)

Our little girl Oreo has been sick recently with a nasty case of hookworms.  Since she's an outdoor-only cat (one of six!), she's susceptible to picking up all kinds of things.  We noticed there was a problem when her weight dropped dramatically in one weeks time.  So she visited Mr. Vet and got her treatment...we were assured everything would be fine.  Yet I few days ago, I took her back again because she still wasn't gaining weight.

After another test, she was ruled "parasite free", and the vet sent us home, with instructions that if she didn't gain weight within 2 weeks, we'd have to bring her back in for blood tests. Ca-ching ca-ching!  She must have listened to what he said, and been tired of being poked and prodded (enough already!), because within hours of bringing her home, she started eating right.  Now she's gained almost another pound.  You go, Oreo. :) Eat all you want!

So who's next?  Our dog Lady.  Had some stomach issue, so off I go to the vet again.  They couldn't find anything.  Oh well, a couple more hours down the drain, and by the time half the day was over, she was fine. (I wouldn't have gone for this in the first place, but she's the dog who ended up in the ER on July 4th...I didn't want a repeat!)

And now my daughter's throat is "itchy".  Joy.  Would everyone just get well and STAY WELL, pul-hee-ze?

In the meantime, I've had lots of great ideas for new designs, and I hope to get to at least one of them this weekend.  Of course there is the dripping faucet and toilet flapper issues that need to be handled...but I think they might just have to wait.  Satisfying my creation withdrawl is much more important!

InJoy,
Jai
