Working in the studio is play. It's meditation. It's soothing to the soul. There's nothing more I'd rather do than create. It's something I *must* do, or I feel I would be here for no purpose. The jewelry I create contains dreams, hopes, passion, & love, as well as a variety of gemstones, beads, crystals, and vintage components lost from their original state, yet worthy enough to be reconfigured into something new and beautiful for you.

The gems and pearls I use are full of the colors of my life, favorite subjects, and faith in the beauty in our world, which I love sharing with you. I am fascinated by shapes, textures, colors and nature's beauty. A sense of wonder and delight in the unusual and the unexpected is what inspires my hands-on creativity with wire, beads, and gemstones. To me, each and every stone - even ones others may toss away - is deserving of being showcased in a creative way to display the beauty...for every stone has unique and individual qualities, just like us.

Thank goodness I never went to school for this...or it wouldn't be near as original.

Each stone and bead I use in my creations is hand selected for color, pattern, design, size and feel, then sculpted artistically to create a unique look - no two jewels are ever the same. It's only natural in the human state to try to control this medium. Yet many times, the beads and wire reject control. Rather than fight the natural process of gravity and flow, I allow the gemstones, pearls and wires to merge into the pattern and direction they desire. This makes for a much more interesting and unique piece of jewelry, in my opinion. There can never be "perfection" with this process. Yet despite the non-perfect state, the beauty is still there , along with the originality -- just as it is within ourselves.

Each piece is hand-inspected by me, the creator, for an appearance which flows smoothly, for accentuation of the stone, for feel, and even for how it hangs when complete.

Cleaning your jewelry should be done carefully. Never soak your art jewelry in commercial jewelry cleaners - the chemicals could be detrimental to your tiny treasure. A damp cloth can be used to wipe the pieces carefully. A sunshine cloth or silver polishing cloth can be used to clean the edges occasionally. Try to guard your jewelry from hairspray and other chemicals. Treat it like the tiny treasure it is - look out for it just as a mother would guard her baby from harm. If you treat your new jewelry with love and care, it will respond in kind, giving you a lifetime of striking beauty. Remember, each is a one of kind creation, and can never be replaced.
