The Daily Texture for 01/12/2015
Today's Daily Texture is a dark texture, perfect for your lighter colored subjects. Filled with rich chocolate brown, deep midnight blues and gray with a touch of white, it's excellent for adding depth and contrast to an image. Since this texture has a lot of "tooth", it can also be used in one of the popular layer modes (multiply, overlay, soft light or hard light) to add some grunge effects to a photo. If you don't want the rough effect of the texture, you can use effects like soften, diffuse, or gaussian blur to tone down the grit and just use the color. Below are two examples where I've used this texture for subjects with lighter colors to give them a dramatic background.
