Sword Pendant Tutorial
This lesson teaches you how
to make a unique and powerful woven wire sword pendant. In this tutorial, I will demonstrate the
making of the sword pendant in the center photo.
The sword developed from the dagger, when the construction of longer blades became possible, from the late 3rd millennium BC. Swords are very powerful and are symbolic of solidarity, defense, clarity, honor and force. The sword is mostly known for its symbolism of protection, with honor and justice embodied in the blade. Metaphysically speaking, the sword symbolizes the power of the mind, and encourages the wielding of trained intellect to bring about the results we seek in our life. I’ve always been attracted to the sword, and tend to be drawn to artwork which includes a sword. The sword is often seen in the work of many of my favorite fantasy artists.
Once you have completed the tutorial, you’ll have a unique design you can add to your wire jewelry offerings. The design can be adapted to include different types of bails (this tutorial shows you how to make a tornado bail topper for the sword), various beads and gemstones, and a mix of wire colors, making each one unique.

Fantasy Flower Pendant Tutorial
This lesson teaches you how
to make a single layer fantasy flower pendant.
In this tutorial, I will demonstrate the making of the flower pendant in
the left photo above.
Flowers are the most portrayed subjects in figural jewelry. Dating back to the Victorian era, flowers made a constant appearance in jewels. They became even more popular during the Art Nouveau period, and the popularity of flowers and blossoms in jewelry continues to this day.
In this tutorial, you’ll learn to make a single layer flower pendant with a cluster of stones in the center. After making a single layer flower, it’s very easy to transition to double, triple and even more layers, which I explain how to do at the end of the tutorial.
Once you have completed the tutorial, you’ll have a creative design you can add to your wire jewelry offerings. The design can be adapted to encompass different shapes, as well as various beads and gemstones, and a mix of wire colors, making each one unique. You can also make earrings with this design.

Genie Bottle Pendant Tutorial
This lesson teaches you how
to make a fun Genie Bottle pendant. In
this tutorial, I will demonstrate the making of the genie bottle pendant in the
center photo above.
I’m sure we’ve all dreamt of it from time to time – especially if you used to watch “I Dream of Jeannie” like I did as a child. How fun it would be to have our own magical bottle! Rub the bottle and your own personal genie emerges, at your service to grant your greatest wishes. This pendant is my interpretation of a long neck genie bottle with handles and a “stopper” at the top. And who knows? It just might make all of your wishes come true!
Once you have completed the tutorial, you’ll have a creative design you can add to your wire jewelry offerings. The design can be adapted to include different types of handles and shapes (depending on the shape of the focal bead you use), as well as various beads and gemstones, and a mix of wire colors, making each one unique. You can also make earrings with this design.

Woven Peapod Tutorial
This lesson teaches you how
to make a versatile woven pea pod jewel, which makes fabulous earrings,
pendants, and even individual components for more involved designs.
Peapods are a symbol of fertility, new life, and new beginnings. They serve as beacons of hope for greater things in the future. The pod protects its seeds from harm, keeping them safe in the cocoon shape. The “peas” inside the pod are representative of our close relationships with others who are like us—hence the saying “two peas in a pod”. In Chinese tradition, peapods symbolize growth, prosperity, and good fortune in all areas of life.
Once you have completed the tutorial, you’ll have a basic and very versatile design you can add to your wire jewelry offerings. The design can be adapted to include different types of bails, various beads and gemstones, a mix of wire colors and different shapes of stones, making each one unique, yet if you need to make the same design over again, it can easily be done.

FREE TUTORIAL - Get the Oxidized Look - Without Oxidizing
Love the oxidized look? So do I – but oxidation methods will only work with certain types of metal. For instance, stainless steel, titanium, tantalum and niobium are highly resistant to oxidation. Craft wire, plated wire, and coated wires will not oxidize. Traditional oxidation techniques will not work on these wires. But that doesn’t mean you can’t create the same look with your jewelry!
It is possible to create the oxidized look with other metals. I use this technique frequently in my work, as I like the antique appearance and depth it adds to certain jewelry pieces. The darkened effect helps to show off details in a finished piece of jewelry. When some areas of the metal are darkened, the detail is much easier to see.
In this free download, you'll learn how to create the oxidized look with those pieces of jewelry created with metals resistant to oxidation.
