I've had so many people ask for collections.  And I have so many people who also love to buy individual textures.  The individual daily textures will continue on as they have been and be available for purchasing individually from my main website, just like always.  But for those who like COLLECTIONS of resources, this NEW website is for YOU! 

First, please note the website name....it is simply DAILYTEXTURE.COM {leave off the word "the"}.

Second, this new site is only for COLLECTIONS.  The collections are designed to help you create a body of work in a similar style and tone, without having to use the same texture, or match colors with another individual texture.  I've already done it for you when I created the collection.  

In blog posts in the future, I will give the link to buy the individual texture, as I always have.  But if there is a collection associated with that texture, I will also give a link to the collection.  And then you can decide...  do you want just ONE, or do you want them ALL?

Now here's the kicker...the individual texture WILL BE INCLUDED as a part of the collection.  So if you buy the individual texture, then later decide you want the collection, you will receive a repeat of that one individual texture you purchased before.  The collection is made to COMPLIMENT the original texture I worked from, so I automatically place the individual texture in the download zip file, because it was the inspiration for the whole collection.

Some key points about the new site:

•  The collections are less expensive than buying individual textures separately, so you will save money when you buy a collection, and have extra resources you might find useful, especially when creating a body of work in a similar color scheme or style.
•  The new site will only house collections
•  This blog and my regular website will continue to run as they have been since November of 2014
•  The new site does not use Paypal at checkout - but DOES accept all major credit cards through my secure payment provider
•  The mailing list on the new site is a totally different mailing list than my main site list - please sign up for it if you are interested in collections of resources from the site, as this new mailing list will be the one announcing those {and there will be some goodies for subscribers too!}
•  The new site is just starting, so there isn't much there yet, but it will increase in size very soon. 

Today's Daily Texture is "Beach Party at Sunset" and features brilliant turquoise paired with rich oranges, golds, yellows, red and a touch of cream.  I paired this texture with a Toucan photo to create the next work of art in my Colorful Expressions series, below.

Today's Daily Texture is a softer one, with green and neutral browns and tans.  I used this texture with the eagle art below, both as an underlying layer and as a few layers on top with some of each layer masked away to keep the eagle and nest fairly bright and clear.  To further bring the focus to the eagle and to give the image a more dreamlike quality, I took the final merged image {after duplicating it} and ran it through Buz Sim, a Topaz Simplify filter.  This softened everything and gave things a watery, painted look.  I masked some of this layer off the eagle and the nest in the center, but left the filtered effects all around the edges, like a vignette.
