Today's Daily Texture is "A Little Garden Bliss" and features a wide array of spring colors you would see in a garden of flowers. I decided to test this texture out on a composite image. The flower and the hummingbird were both separate images. I've shown an example of the layers palette below...click on it to see it enlarged. The original texture layer was placed on the bottom. Then the flower photo was added, and I masked out the background, leaving only the flower. I then added the sweet little hummingbird, and did the same with his layer. Then I duplicated the main texture layer and placed it on top, set it to soft light at 50%, and then diffused it in Topaz {you can also use soften or gaussian blur in other programs}. This toned down the strokes in the texture, which were a bit harsh after I added the top layer. After merging, I brightened the image up just a bit.
