The Daily Texture for 01/05/2015
With Valentine's Day fast approaching, I thought everyone might enjoy this texture "Be My Valentine", featuring cherry red, blush pink and olive green. I used the texture with the two flower images below. On both images, I layered the texture over the flowers and masked the texture off the center of the flowers. Then I gently masked some of the texture off the edges, allowing only a faint hint of the background to peek through. I then layered the texture on top again. On the rose I set that layer to soft light, which left the overall image very soft and romantic, and on the iris I set it to overlay, which gave that flower image a little more brightness and punch of color.
