Lights On In Winter

Today's Daily Texture features the beautiful glow of soft winter colors, including blue, peach and creamy yellow.

I used this texture for the two bird images shown here.  On Two Little Wrens, I used the texture as a background, and then added the texture over the blended image again, this time at a soft light layer at about 50%.  This made the colors pop a little more, and put some extra light on these bold little wrens.

In the second image "Hanging On", I simply used the texture as a background to blend in with the bird image.  I kept this one a bit softer just because I liked it that way. :)

This texture would also be fabulous for those winter landscapes where you wish to add a nice glow to the overall image by using either overlay or soft light for your layer modes.
