Cloudy Day At The Beach
Today's Daily Texture/Background can turn a variety of photos into works of art! Many subjects will work with this beach scene. A horse running, or a horseback ride...people walking...birds flying...dogs playing...the possibilities are really endless on what you can do with this one!
The flying gull below was a very easy piece to put together. The gull was photographed on a gray, cloudy day, so he already had the coloring and lighting necessary to work well with this scene. All I did was mask away the gray sky behind him to reveal the beach scene underneath. The German Shepherd composite art was a bit more involved. First, I found a photo of my boy Max running and I masked away the background of his photo, leaving him "on the beach". Then I found a larger photo of him with one of those wistful looks...as if he were thinking of something else. I masked away the background from that photo, but kept him rather large in the corner. After merging everything, I placed a vignette around the edges to bring the focus to both of the German Shepherd images. I titled it "German Shepherd Dreaming Of The Beach", as that's what I imagine he'd be doing if he ever had the chance to play on a beach...I'm sure he would love it!
