The Daily Texture for 12/13/2014
Today's Daily Texture is "Apple Juice" and was inspired by various colors of apples! I wasn't quite sure how this would work as a texture, but I immediately found two of my photographs which paired well with the rich red, gold and greens. A bit more abstract in nature, with heavier strokes visible, this texture adds a nice painterly touch to the photos. It just so happened with both the subjects I tried this texture on (see example images below), the red portion in the center was in the right position to blend well with the subject. TIP: If at some point you find a subject isn't blending quite right with a particular texture, before you dump the texture and try another, try flipping the texture from right to left or top to bottom to see if that makes a difference. For me, if often gives me a new perspective which works. :)
