Breath of Winter
| Today's Daily Texture is inspired by sunlight on snow on a crisp winter morning. The texture can be used as is, or by layering it over on top of itself using various blending modes, you can change the hues, saturation and brightness of the finished work as I did in "Winter Morning Chickadee". The original texture was masked off the bird and part of the tree and branches, and then the full texture was placed on top again in overlay mode at 100% to get this result. Because the precious little bird was originally photographed in the sunlight, I felt the brighter color hues were called for in order to make this piece really POP! Like this texture?
