Lavender Bliss
| I love the color contrast between purple and green and today's Daily Texture "Lavender Bliss" enabled me to showcase that combination when pairing it with this lovely peacock in "A Royal Jewel". Normally I try to match the texture I've chosen with a color in the subject or a color in the background -- but in this case, I decided to blend it with a contrasting color subject which goes well with the colors in the texture. The texture was first applied as a background to this gorgeous bird, and then another layer of the texture was placed on top in overlay mode to make the light stronger on the subject and to add depth to the edges.
